Refresher training provided to NMSU lab researchers

During October, Environmental Health & Safety instructors provided the 2016 annual safety refresher to 442 NMSU lab faculty and researchers from 12 departments in the Colleges of ACES, Engineering, and Arts and Sciences.

This annual training is in addition to the OSHA prerequisites of hazcom chemical safety, laboratory standard and hazardous waste management classes required to work in campus labs as well as specialized safety training on blood, infectious material, and radiations if appropriate.
