NMSU
celebrates Bike to Work Week New
Mexico State University will join the Las Cruces community in celebrating Bike
to Work Week with a gathering at Preciado Park from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. May
12. During
the event, participants can ride their bikes to the park to meet fellow
cyclists and local biking organizations. Interim Executive Vice President and
Provost Robert Moulton will read a university proclamation at noon marking the
event. The
park is located at the corner of Gregg Street and Williams Avenue on the NMSU
campus. Free refreshments, health information, and AggieFit registration will
be available. May
is National Bike Month, and May 11-15 is Bike to Work Week. The month is
sponsored by the League of American Bicyclists. The
NMSU event is sponsored by the Year of Sustainability Council, the AggieFit
Wellness Program, the Advisory Council on Administrative Policy and the Mesilla
