2011 Annual Lab Safety Refresher
NMSU Environmental Health and Safety is providing the annual safety refresher classes on Lab Standard and Hazardous Waste in September and October.
Note: Classes will only count as annual safety refresher training for individuals that have completed the regular Laboratory Standard and/or Hazardous Waste Management classes.
EH&S will present the 60-min. lab refresher classes on the following dates:
- September 22, Thursday, at 4 pm in Foster Hall room 231, as a Biology Seminar;
- September 30, Friday, at 12:30 pm in Jett Hall room 209, as a Chemical Engineering Seminar;
- September 30, Friday, at 3:30 pm in Gerald Thomas Auditorium, as a PES seminar for all ACES (College of Agriculture) departments;
- October 6, Thursday, at 4 pm in the Chemistry Building auditorium CB153, as a Chemistry seminar
Researchers, faculty, GAs, & employees in other NMSU science or engineering lab groups, e.g. physics, geology, civil & mechanical engineering, engineering technology, DACC labs, etc, are welcome to attend any one of the above. Pre-registration via safety.nmsu.edu is requested to document the class and minimize crowding.
Note: Those that have attended Lab Standard & Hazardous Waste classes in 2011 do not need to attend the lab safety refreshers until 2012.
