In recognition of National Bike Month, the ROYALS Women's Fix-a-Flat workshop will be held on May 11 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Outdoor Adventures, 1424 Missouri Avenue. [map]
The cycling women of the ROYALS bicycling group will teach women (and others) how to fix a flat bicycle tire, including what to carry on a ride, wheel removal and replacement, tube replacement, inflation, and tube repair (patching). Bring your own bike or use the demonstration tools and equipment available.
The hands-on workshop is free to all and the demonstration takes only 15 to 30 minutes. Become a more self-sufficient cyclist by learning to fix a flat. Join the ROYALS on Saturday, May 11. The ROYALS is a group of women who meet on the third Saturday of the month to ride together on local roads - women who ride at all speeds are welcome.
