It is very important that hazard evaluations are performed and documented prior to using hazardous materials or performing hazardous processes. The primary purpose of this is to ensure that all hazards of the materials or processes have been identified and the proper controls are in place to mitigate each hazard before work is performed.
Environmental Health Safety & Risk Management routinely performs and can assist with the development of hazard assessments and evaluations for various occupational and research activities as well as non-routine campus events. Please use the following template to assist with the development of experiment safety plans and hazard assessments.
